Request for Decision Summary
A public hearing is required to hear from anyone who may be affected by Bylaw C-1147-21.

Bylaw C-1147-21, a redistricting to the Land Use Bylaw changing approximately 0.2 ha of land from GPL - Greenbury Planned Lot  to R1 - Mixed Low to Medium Density Residential, is being brought forward for Council's consideration. The proposed redistricting is consistent with the Pioneer Lands Area Structure Plan.  

Administration supports proposed Bylaw C-1147-21.

Proposed Motion
That those in attendance be thanked for their input.
This proposed bylaw is to redistrict approximately 0.2 ha of Lot 2, Block A, Plan 132 4055. This area is currently districted GPL - Greenbury Planned Lot District and is proposed to be redistricted as R1 - Mixed Low to Medium Density Residential District. This redesignation of the land is being requested to provide greater flexibility of building design within the associated future residential lots.

Bylaw C-1147-21 is being presented for Council's consideration of second and third readings later on this same Council agenda. Should Council feel they need further information to make a decision they may choose to adjourn the public hearing for continuance at a later date. If Council chooses this option, second reading of this bylaw will be re-scheduled.
Notification of this public hearing was advertised in the April 9 and 16 editions of the Examiner in satisfaction of the requirements of the Municipal Government Act. Additionally, notice was mailed directly to landowners within 30m of the subject lands.
Following the statutory public hearing, second reading will be brought forward for consideration by Council.
This public hearing fulfills the statutory requirement under the Municipal Government Act to hear from those affected by the proposed amendment to the Land Use Bylaw. Information that is presented at this public hearing will inform Council's consideration of the bylaw at second reading.
