Request for Decision Summary
The purpose of this report is to provide Council with background information on proposed Bylaw C-995-17- McLaughlin Stage 5 in order to undertake the statutory public hearing.   The bylaw proposes to redistrict approximately 2.03 ha of land within NW ¼ Section 4-53-27-4. The redistricting being considered is from UR – Urban Reserve District to R1 – Mixed Low to Medium Density Residential District. The landowner plans to develop an extension of Meadowlink Common with 38 residential lots for single detached dwellings.

Background/Analysis
Select Engineering, on behalf of the owner, has applied to redistrict approximately 2.03 ha of land within NW ¼ Section 4-53-27-4. The redistricting being considered is from UR – Urban Reserve District to R1 – Mixed Low to Medium Density Residential District. The landowner plans to develop an extension of Meadowlink Common with 38 residential lots for single detached dwellings.

Administration has discussed initial comments about the development with the applicant.

As per Municipal Government Act requirements, notice of the public hearing was placed in the April 7 and 14, 2017 editions of the Spruce Grove Examiner (See Attachment A). The public hearing notice has also been mailed to landowners adjacent to the plan area.
