Recommendation

That Council present a plaque to Mr. Gord Montgomery in recognition of his 25 years of dedicated service as a sports reporter in the region.

Purpose

Council is asked to acknowledge the contributions of Mr. Gord Montgomery recognizing his efforts in enhancing community spirit and pride through his outstanding service as a sports reporter for the region and for his enduring promotion of the citizens and the city of Spruce Grove.

Background

Gord Montgomery has been employed as a sports reporter for the Spruce Grove Examiner and the Stony Plain Reporter for the past 25 years.
