Request for Decision Summary
Residents, community groups and organizations have an opportunity to make a submission to the City of Spruce Grove for consideration in the 2019–2021 Corporate Plan. This is part of an annual process where the City welcomes public input into the corporate planning and fiscal planning process.
Proposed Motion
That the public submissions, to be considered in preparation for the development of the 2019-2021 Corporate Plan, be received as information.
The following written submissions were received and a representative will be presenting at this meeting:
  • Parkland Foodbank Feasibility Study
  • Terry Fox Run & Tiny Terry Fox Run
  • Feasibility Study for a Covered Community Pickleball Facility
  • Addressing Homelessness in Spruce Grove
  • Allied Arts Council
  • Youth Library Services
  • General Care Services
  • Disabled Employment Services
  • Transportation Plan
  • City Slickers Event
  • Tri-Community Adult Learning Association
  • Visitor Information Services Fee for Service Agreement
  • Funding Request for Signature Events
The following written submissions were received but will not be presented at this meeting:
  • Horseshoe Facility
  • Application for Funding for the Spruce Grove Youth Gay-Straight Alliance

Members of the public who did not submit a written submission and are in attendance at the meeting have the opportunity to make a presentation to Committee after the final presentation from written submissions is made.
Not applicable.
The opportunity to make a submission for consideration in the corporate plan was advertised in the newspaper, the local radio station, through social media, on the reader boards and the City's website.
All corporate plan submissions will be considered and prioritized as part of the City’s annual corporate planning process, which begins in March and continues until September.

All public submissions, along with Administration’s recommendations, will be presented to Council in November for final review and approval. The end result will be the 2019–2021 Corporate Plan, which is the City’s principal guiding document for governance, community development and service delivery and outlines our plans and projects for the next three years.

Once Spruce Grove City Council has formally adopted the 2019–2021 Corporate Plan, residents, groups and organizations who made a submission will be advised in writing of the status of their request.
Public submissions to the corporate plan may contribute to a strategic goal depending on the content of the submission.
