Social Sustainability Plan
Social Sustainability focuses on high-level linkages between social, economic, and environmental factors that overlap to achieve long-term prosperity and continued quality of life for present and future residents. In 2016 the City of Spruce Grove Social Sustainability Plan was completed to ensure the social needs of residents are included within the City's strategic, corporate, and community planning frameworks as the City continues to experience rapid growth and changing social trends.

Cultural Master Plan
Also completed in 2016, the Cultural Master Plan is a roadmap for arts, cultural and heritage programs and initiatives that will continue to enable the development of services to meet the needs and demands of the growing population, identify existing business opportunities, and help prepare for future growth.

The Plans include components that overlap and support each other in strengthening a socially sustainable community now and into the future.
Successful implementation of the Plans will involve extensive, purposeful, and ongoing community engagement and capacity building practices.
Council will receive formal updates on the status of the Social Sustainability and Cultural Master Plans every two years.
Ongoing implementation of the Plans will recognize social diversity and support prosperity for all residents.
